Thanksgiving

Our family tradition for celebrating Thanksgiving includes hosting a big family and friend gathering at our house for the extended weekend. Knowing we would be sailing this year, we did "early Thanksgiving" in Oct. When the real day arrived yesterday, I just couldn't get in the mood. I had planned to cook a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, green beans. Instead, we had snacks for dinner—hummus, veggies, cranberry cinnamon goat cheese, hard boiled eggs. Very strange Thanksgiving dinner but suited us in our new life!

Our other Thanksgiving tradition is for everyone to go around the table and say what they are thankful for. I am thankful that our engine appears to be fixed! David is thankful that we have our health and are able to do this cruising thing. We are especially thankful for our wonderful supportive friends and family. We miss all of you!
