We've mentioned that people often celebrate the sunset by blowing a conch horn. Since we didn't have one, David has been blowing his paper party horn leftover from the Super Bowl party...it's a little embarrassing! So I finally made a conch shell into a conch horn last week. This involved filling the two holes in the shell made to remove the conch animal from the shell with fiberglass and cutting off the tip for a mouthpiece.
David participated in a contest to see who could blow their conch horn the longest during some of the Regatta events in George Town. All of that trumpet playing paid off as he won the contest by holding a note for 55 seconds (He's the one in blue shorts, khaki shirt and hat)!
